As the Lok Sabha elections draw closer, political parties in Punjab are gearing up by announcing their candidates. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has recently unveiled its second list of candidates for the state. Malvinder Singh Kang has been nominated as the candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib, while Rajkumar Chabewal will contest from Hoshiarpur.
This announcement comes after the BJP had previously revealed its candidates for six constituencies in Punjab, including Ravneet Singh Bittu for Ludhiana. AAP had earlier released its first list comprising eight candidates, with Sushil Rinku nominated for Jalandhar; however, Rinku later defected to the BJP.
Raj Kumar Chabewal’s inclusion in AAP’s candidate list is notable, as he recently switched allegiance from the Congress to AAP. His selection by the party signifies a vote of confidence in his leadership and capabilities.
With candidates being finalized and campaigns intensifying, the political landscape in Punjab is witnessing significant activity as parties strive to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
