Fazilka, December 23
The Punjab Police have installed 18 special barriers at sensitive places in the district along the International Border (IB) and Rajasthan frontier. This has been done as part of “Operation Eagle”.
At least 200 additional police personnel have been deployed to guard the IB and install special barriers in the district.
The operation has been launched after the increase in the number of alleged anti-social activities in the state. DIG Narinder Bhargav and Fazilka SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu inspected railway stations, bus stands and sensitive areas in the district.
