After a short break from the scorching heat, temperatures are expected to rise again over the next five days. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the mercury may cross 40°C in several parts of the region. While the heat may intensify, the IMD has clarified that there is no significant threat of a heatwave at the moment.

In the past few days, both minimum and maximum temperatures were 5 to 7 degrees Celsius below normal, providing some comfort to people. However, this relief is likely to be short-lived. The weather department has warned that by early next week, temperatures may reach up to 43°C in some areas.

Last week, the maximum temperature hovered around 39.5°C, while the minimum stayed close to 26°C. These figures show a slight dip compared to the usual summer highs. But the upcoming days may bring harsher conditions again.

Despite the rising heat, the IMD has not issued any heatwave warning as of now. Some parts of the region may also experience strong winds, which could offer minor relief during the daytime. In addition, the report mentions the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in a few places.

Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and take precautions to protect themselves from heat-related illnesses. Children, elderly people, and those with health issues should be especially careful in the coming days.

While no major alerts have been issued, the weather is expected to remain unstable with rising temperatures and occasional wind or storm activity. Keep monitoring updates from the IMD to stay safe and prepared.
