India has reported a total of 4,026 active Covid-19 cases, with 65 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours. The rise in cases is being monitored closely by health authorities, but the overall impact remains mild. Hospitalisation rates are still low, and most of the infections are not causing severe illness.
Delhi registered 47 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing its total number of infections to 483. Kerala also saw an increase with 35 fresh cases. Meanwhile, four Covid-related deaths were reported across the country during the same period. Health officials noted that in many cases, the deaths were due to other existing health conditions, not just the virus.
In Karnataka, the government has reassured the public that it is well-prepared for any emergency. Authorities have updated infrastructure such as oxygen supply, hospital beds, and ventilators. They emphasised that the current variant of the virus appears to cause mild symptoms and is not as severe as earlier waves.
People with low immunity have been advised to wear masks and take extra care. Maintaining good hygiene continues to be important for everyone to stay protected.
Haryana reported 18 new cases, most of which were from Gurugram, Faridabad, and Karnal. Fortunately, no patients in the state have been hospitalised so far.
Maharashtra also reported 59 new Covid-19 cases, including 20 in Mumbai. Since the beginning of this year, the state has recorded 873 infections.
While the rise in cases is noticeable, health experts believe that with precautions and awareness, the situation can be managed well. There is no need to panic, but people should stay alert and follow safety guidelines.
