In the high-stakes Eliminator match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Gujarat Titans (GT) are up against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. The match is crucial, as the losing team will be eliminated from the tournament, while the winner will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2 on June 1 in Ahmedabad.

Mumbai Indians batted first and set a big target of 229 runs for Gujarat Titans. Chasing the huge total, GT had a shaky start as captain Shubman Gill was dismissed for just 1 run in the very first over. He was trapped LBW by speedster Trent Boult.

After the early loss, Sai Sudharsan and Kusal Mendis tried to steady the innings. The duo added 64 runs for the second wicket. However, Mendis got out in an unlucky way — he hit his own stumps (hit wicket) while facing Mitchell Santner and was dismissed for 20 runs.

Later, Sudharsan was joined by Washington Sundar, and together they built a strong 84-run partnership for the third wicket. Sundar played an aggressive knock of 48 runs from just 24 balls, smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes. Their partnership brought GT back into the game. However, Jasprit Bumrah broke the stand by bowling Sundar out.

Sudharsan tried to continue the momentum but was clean bowled by Richard Gleeson after scoring a brilliant 80 runs off 49 balls, which included 10 boundaries and a six. When Sudharsan got out, GT’s score was 170/4 in 15.4 overs.

Currently, Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia are at the crease, and GT still need 24 runs from the final over to win the match. The game is going down to the wire, and fans are on the edge of their seats.
