The Indian government launched Operation Sindoor, a strategic military action against terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). This operation comes in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which led to nationwide outrage. The aim of the operation was to destroy the infrastructure supporting terrorism and to prevent further attacks on Indian soil.

To inform political leaders across the country, the central government held an all-party meeting today at 11 AM. During this meeting, the government shared key details about the operation, including its goals, the terrorist targets hit, strategic and security implications, and India’s preparedness in case of any retaliation by Pakistan.

The government clarified that the Indian Armed Forces acted with precision and courage to eliminate terror bases across the border. This preemptive action was taken to send a strong message that India will not tolerate terrorism supported from across the border.

Unfortunately, in a tragic development following Operation Sindoor, a brave Indian soldier was martyred in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan early this morning in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The fallen hero has been identified as Dinesh Kumar Sharma from Palwal, Haryana. He bravely faced the enemy fire while defending the nation.

The entire country stands united in mourning the loss and salutes the sacrifice made by Dinesh Kumar Sharma. His courage and dedication to the nation will always be remembered.

Operation Sindoor marks a significant move in India’s fight against terrorism and showcases the nation’s resolve to protect its citizens and sovereignty. More updates on this operation are expected as the situation unfolds.
