Expressing his deep-rooted connection to Wayanad, Rahul asserted that the district holds a special place in his heart, describing it as his home and its residents as his family. With a resolute spirit, he declared his readiness to champion the issues of Wayanad’s populace, drawing upon the region’s rich history and traditions as a source of inspiration.

Rahul Gandhi’s decision to contest from Wayanad sets the stage for a compelling electoral battle, pitting him against BJP state unit president K Surendran and CPI leader Annie Raja.
