In an exciting Indian Premier League (IPL) match, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets. The match was held at Chennai’s home ground, where SRH chased down the target of 155 runs in just 18.4 overs with 5 wickets in hand.
Sunrisers’ chase was led by Ishan Kishan, who played a solid knock of 44 runs from 34 balls. He hit some beautiful shots and kept the scoreboard ticking. Kamindu Mendis supported him well with an unbeaten 32 off 22 balls. Nitish Kumar Reddy also remained not out with a useful 19 runs, guiding the team safely to victory. However, opener Abhishek Sharma got out without scoring.
For Chennai Super Kings, Noor Ahmad took two wickets, giving away 42 runs in his spell. He tried to put pressure on the SRH batters but didn’t get much support from the other bowlers.
Earlier in the match, Harshal Patel was the star with the ball for Sunrisers. He picked up 4 important wickets for just 28 runs. His tight bowling helped SRH restrict CSK to 154 runs in 19.5 overs. Captain Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat both took 2 wickets each, while Kamindu Mendis and Mohammed Shami claimed one wicket each.
For CSK, Dewald Brevis was the top scorer with 42 runs from 25 balls. Deepak Hooda added 22 runs from 21 balls, and Ayush Mahatre chipped in with 30 runs off 19 balls. Despite their efforts, CSK could not build a strong total and lost wickets at regular intervals. At the end of 10 overs, their score was just 76/4.
This win gives Sunrisers Hyderabad a big boost in the points table and confidence for their upcoming matches.
