U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Iran’s military and security forces to lay down their weapons. While speaking to the media at the White House, Trump urged members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, army, and police to surrender. He warned that if they refused to do so, they could face deadly consequences.

Trump also encouraged Iranian forces to stand with the people of Iran and help them take back their country. He said those who surrender would be spared, but those who continue fighting would risk their lives.
In addition, Trump asked Iranian diplomats around the world to seek asylum and cooperate with efforts to build a new and better Iran. He emphasized that the United States would ensure that any future leadership in Iran does not become a threat to America or neighboring countries.
