The Delhi court has granted interim bail to the CEO and coordinator of Rao IAS Study Circle until December 7 in connection with the tragic deaths of three students at their coaching center in Old Rajinder Nagar. The students, who were preparing for the civil services examination, lost their lives after drowning due to rainwater flooding the basement of the coaching center.

The victims, identified as Shreya Yadav from Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh; Tanya Soni from Telangana; and Nivin Dalvin from Ernakulam, Kerala, were trapped when heavy rains caused severe waterlogging in the basement where they were located.

Following the incident, the Delhi High Court transferred the investigation from the local police to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), citing the need for a thorough and impartial probe. The CBI will investigate the circumstances leading to the flooding and determine the accountability of the coaching center management.

The court’s decision to grant interim bail provides temporary relief to the accused while the investigation continues. This tragic incident has raised concerns about safety measures in educational facilities, particularly those located in flood-prone areas, and calls for stricter regulations to prevent such disasters in the future.
