A second-year MBBS student, Kushagar Pratap Singh (24), from Gorakhpur, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Varun Arjun Medical College campus. His body was discovered at the back of the hostel, as reported by the college principal, Colonel (retired) Dr. Ravindra Nath Shukla.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh, Kushagar resided on the ground floor of the hostel. Initial findings suggest that the student either fell from a height or was pushed by someone, though the exact cause of the incident remains uncertain.
The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to ascertain whether it was an accident or a result of foul play. The police are also questioning the students and staff of the college to gather information related to Kushagar’s activities before his death.
The incident has left the campus community in shock, with students and faculty members awaiting further clarification. Authorities have assured that they will conduct a thorough investigation to find out the truth behind the incident, ensuring that any responsible individuals will be brought to justice.
