Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has reassured the farmers of Punjab that the central government will procure every grain of paddy from them, urging farmers not to be swayed by false rumors about a potential shortage or delays. Speaking directly to the farmers, Joshi promised that the Center would ensure timely payments for their produce, emphasizing there is no crisis regarding storage or procurement.
Joshi clarified that despite rumors, the Center has ample storage space and is actively working to create additional capacity to accommodate the crop. His statement aims to ease the concerns of Punjab’s agricultural community, who rely heavily on government procurement for their livelihoods.
Joshi’s assurance comes at a crucial time, as rumors have reportedly led to confusion among farmers. By addressing these concerns, he hopes to restore confidence among Punjab’s farmers regarding government support and payment reliability for this season’s paddy crop. The central government remains committed to supporting farmers and ensuring that their hard work is rewarded without disruption.
