Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a BJP election rally in Rewari, Haryana, on Friday, launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning his knowledge of the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Shah mocked Rahul, asking, “Rahul Baba, do you even know the full form of MSP?” and challenged his understanding of agricultural issues, including the difference between rabi and saffron crops.
Shah further claimed that the BJP government in Haryana is currently purchasing 24 crops at MSP, asserting the party’s commitment to farmers. He also alleged that Rahul Gandhi only discusses MSP because an NGO advised him it could help him win votes.
Campaigning for the BJP ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections on October 5, Shah didn’t stop at MSP. He also attacked Congress on corruption, accusing past Congress governments of running on “commission and corruption,” while alleging that the party was controlled by “dealers, brokers, and son-in-laws.”
Shah’s speech aimed to bolster BJP’s campaign by highlighting the party’s efforts on farmers’ welfare and criticizing Congress for its alleged history of mismanagement and corruption.
