A Delhi court has granted bail to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, along with his sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, and several others in connection with the land-for-job money laundering case. The bail was granted by Special Judge Vishal Gogne on Monday, on the condition of a ₹1 lakh bond for each accused. The court also ordered that the accused should not be arrested during the ongoing investigation. Lalu Prasad Yadav and others appeared personally in the court as per the summons issued earlier based on the sub-charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

This case was initially registered by the CBI, and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed its final report on August 6. The ED’s investigation revolves around allegations of acquiring land in exchange for offering jobs, raising suspicions of money laundering. The bail relief is a significant development in the case, allowing Lalu Prasad and his family members to avoid custody while the investigation continues. The case highlights ongoing scrutiny over alleged corruption linked to political figures, and the bail order means that the accused are not to be detained as the legal proceedings unfold.
