On the night of May 7–8, 2025, Pakistan attempted to escalate tensions by targeting multiple military installations across Northern and Western India using drones and missiles.
The areas targeted included
Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj.
However, the Indian Armed Forces effectively neutralized these attacks using their Integrated Counter UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Grid and advanced Air Defence systems. Debris from the intercepted drones and missiles has been recovered from various locations, serving as solid proof of Pakistan’s attempted aggression.
In response, Indian Armed Forces launched a proportionate counter-attack early this morning, targeting Pakistani Air Defence Radars and related systems. These operations were carried out at several locations across Pakistan. India’s response matched the domain and intensity of Pakistan’s attempted attack, clearly demonstrating India’s readiness and capability to defend its sovereignty.
According to reliable sources, an Air Defence system located in Lahore, Pakistan, has been successfully neutralized during this counter-operation.
The government has assured citizens that all necessary steps are being taken to maintain national security and peace. Defence officials are closely monitoring the situation, and further details are expected to be released after comprehensive assessments.
