Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched projects worth Rs 600 crore from Ranchi, Jharkhand, today. He also laid the foundation stone for the Madhupur bypass line and the Hazaribagh Town Coaching Depot in Deoghar district. Additionally, Modi dedicated the Kurkura-Kanaron project, part of the Bandamunda-Ranchi single line division and the Rourkela-Gomoh road, to the nation. These routes pass through key stations like Ranchi, Murree, and Chandrapura.
Addressing the event, Modi emphasized that the central government’s priority is the development of tribals, the poor, Dalits, women, and youth. He highlighted that numerous schemes have been initiated to benefit these sections.
In a separate event, Modi virtually flagged off six Bharat Rail trains serving Jharkhand, Orissa, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh from Ranchi. Due to bad weather, he was unable to attend the flag-off in person at Tatanagar station. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar were present at the station.
During the event, the Prime Minister distributed virtual approval letters to 32,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G). He also released the first installment of Rs 32 crore for house construction and handed over virtual keys to 46,000 beneficiaries of PMAY-G across the country.
