Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced today that he will resign from his post in two days and demand early elections in the capital. Speaking about his decision, Kejriwal emphasized that he will not return to the Chief Minister’s chair until the people give him a “certificate of honesty.”
Kejriwal, recently released on bail from Tihar Jail in a case related to the Delhi excise policy, stated, “I will only sit on the Chief Minister’s chair when people certify my integrity.” He further added, “I want to face the ultimate test of trust after being released from jail.”
Kejriwal also mentioned that if he becomes the Chief Minister again, Manish Sisodia will serve as the Deputy Chief Minister, but only if the people declare them honest.
