Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday commended the youth of Jammu and Kashmir for restoring confidence in democracy, stating that they now believe their vote can bring meaningful change. Speaking at an election rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar, Modi emphasized that this renewed trust is the first step toward their empowerment.
The Prime Minister reassured the crowd that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remains committed to restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, a promise that will be fulfilled. He highlighted the BJP’s focus on youth empowerment, including initiatives for skill development and ensuring job opportunities without corruption or manipulation.
Modi also criticized opposition parties like Congress, the National Conference, and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of weakening democracy in the region for their own political interests. He claimed that these parties had betrayed the principles of “Kashmiriyat” for personal gain.
The rally marked a crucial moment for the BJP in the region, with Modi outlining the party’s vision for a prosperous and empowered Jammu and Kashmir, particularly through initiatives aimed at the youth.
