Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on opposition parties today, accusing them of focusing only on promoting their own families while being hungry for power. In contrast, he said, his government is committed to the development of all citizens.

Speaking in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 44 projects worth Rs 3,800 crore. Addressing the public gathering, he said, “We have always prioritized ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Those who are greedy for power are constantly playing political games. Their ideology is ‘family first, family only’.”

He began his speech by greeting the people in Bhojpuri and also paid tribute to Dalit social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his birth anniversary.

Highlighting the development of Varanasi over the past decade, Modi said that earlier, there was a lack of healthcare facilities in eastern Uttar Pradesh, but now the Kashi region is emerging as a healthcare hub. He also mentioned that Uttar Pradesh now ranks first in the country for GI (Geographical Indication) tagging, reflecting the promotion of local products and crafts.

Addressing the youth of Varanasi, the Prime Minister urged them to start preparing for the 2036 Olympic Games, which India is aiming to host. He encouraged them to work hard and aim for medals on the global stage.

This visit marked Modi’s 50th trip to Varanasi since becoming Prime Minister in 2014. The event further solidified his focus on development and youth empowerment while continuing to criticize the opposition for promoting dynastic politics over national interest.
