Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and former Bihar Chief Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav, underwent a successful angioplasty at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai. The 66-year-old veteran politician was admitted to the hospital on September 10 for treatment related to a heart condition.
Sources revealed that Yadav’s angioplasty procedure was performed on Wednesday, and his condition is stable. The procedure involved the insertion of a stent to clear blockages in his arteries, a common treatment for patients with heart issues.
Yadav, who has been battling health problems for several years, is expected to be discharged from the hospital within the next couple of days. The news of his hospitalization and subsequent angioplasty has garnered widespread attention, given his significant role in Indian politics and his influence in Bihar.
Supporters and party members have been closely monitoring his health, and messages of goodwill have been pouring in from across the political spectrum. The successful procedure is expected to provide Yadav with relief from his recent health challenges, allowing him to recover and return to his political duties soon.
Yadav’s family and close associates have expressed gratitude to the medical team at the Asian Heart Institute for their care and professionalism during this time.
