Following the instructions of the Government of India and the Punjab Government, emergency mock drills and blackouts are being conducted in various districts of Punjab. These drills are being held to prepare for any kind of emergency situation. Considering the safety of children, district administrations have also decided to shut down schools in some areas.
After Amritsar, now Ludhiana has also announced the closure of all schools. Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain (IAS) issued official orders stating that all schools in the Ludhiana district will remain closed on May 9 and 10. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the current situation.
The Deputy Commissioner also mentioned that these orders will remain in effect until further notice. The administration wants to ensure complete safety during the mock drills, and closing schools is a preventive step to avoid any possible risk to students and staff.
Parents are advised to follow the official updates and cooperate with the administration during this time. These temporary measures are important for building awareness and preparedness in case of real emergencies in the future.
