Washington, D.C., September 11 – A shocking incident took place at Utah Valley University where right-wing activist and Donald Trump supporter Charlie Kirk was shot dead during a program. Kirk was attending “The American Comeback Tour” when the attack happened.
Charlie Kirk was well-known as the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), an organization that works with schools and colleges to discuss politics with students. He was considered one of the strongest supporters of former President Donald Trump. The motive behind the attack is still unknown, and police have not yet identified the attacker.
Reacting to the tragic news, Donald Trump posted on his private social media account that as a mark of respect for “a true American patriot,” he has ordered all flags across the country to be flown at half-mast until Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Trump described Kirk as someone who understood American youth like no one else.
In his message, Trump said, “The great Charlie Kirk is no longer with us. Everyone loved and respected him, especially me.” He also offered condolences to Kirk’s wife Erica and the family, adding that both he and Melania share their grief.
