The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the exam schedule for the UGC NET June 2025 session. Candidates who have registered for the exam can check and download the timetable by visiting the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET June 2025 examination will be held from June 25 to June 29, 2025. The exam will take place in two shifts each day — the first shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and the second shift will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Exam Pattern and Question Format
The test will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will cover 85 subjects. The question paper will have two parts:
Paper I: Designed to assess the candidate’s teaching and research aptitude. It will carry 100 marks.
Paper II: Subject-specific questions related to the candidate’s chosen subject. It will carry 200 marks.
Both papers will include objective-type multiple-choice questions, and there will be no break between Paper I and Paper II. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi, except for language-specific subjects. Candidates must answer in the language they selected in the application form.
Purpose of the Examination
The UGC NET June 2025 examination is conducted for the following purposes:
- To award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor.
- To determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Ph.D. admission.
- To determine eligibility for Ph.D. admission only.
How to Download the Exam Schedule
Candidates can follow the steps below to download the exam schedule:
- Visit the official UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage, click on the “UGC NET June 2025 exam schedule” link.
- A new window will open with a PDF file showing the complete timetable.
- Download and save the PDF. Candidates are advised to keep a printed copy for future reference.
Important Information
The intimation of the exam city will be made available 10 days before the examination date. Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the official website for any further updates regarding their exam city, admit cards, or other important announcements.
