Punjab’s weather has taken another turn today. After a sunny day yesterday that gave people a much-needed break from the humid conditions, rains have returned to many parts of the state. According to the latest forecast by the Meteorological Department, moderate rainfall is expected in several districts today, September 6, 2025.
In Ludhiana, heavy showers were recorded early in the morning, leading to waterlogging in several areas. This sudden downpour caused inconvenience for commuters as roads were filled with rainwater. After the morning showers, light rainfall continued in different parts of the state throughout the day.
With the change in weather, the temperature is likely to drop slightly, bringing some relief to people from the warm and humid conditions of the past few days. The cool breeze following the rainfall has already made the atmosphere pleasant, giving people a feel of early autumn.
Farmers, however, remain cautious as excessive rain at this stage can damage standing crops. Authorities have also issued advisories in low-lying areas to stay alert for possible waterlogging. Overall, the weather in Punjab today has turned cloudy, wet, and relatively cooler, with more rainfall likely in the coming hours.
