The Congress Working Committee (CWC) has conferred authority upon party president Mallikarjun Kharge to sanction the manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and determine its release date. Termed as an ‘Insaf Patra’, the party emphasizes that the manifesto transcends mere electoral promises. The decision was made following the culmination of a CWC meeting, during which the manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls was concluded.

Chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the meeting witnessed the participation of former party presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Organizational General Secretary KC Venugopal, Manifesto Committee Chief P. Chidambaram, and several other working committee members. Following the CWC session, the Congress Central Election Committee (CEC) is slated to convene to finalize the remaining candidates for the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections, commencing on April 19.
