Two coaches of the Indore-Jabalpur Express derailed near Jabalpur railway station in Madhya Pradesh early on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 5:30 am, but fortunately, no passengers were injured, as confirmed by a railway official. The train was moving at a slow speed of just five kilometers per hour when the derailment happened near the platform, which likely minimized the impact.
A committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the derailment. Officials mentioned that the coach adjacent to the engine was the one that derailed, and further examination is underway to determine the exact reason behind the incident.
The Railway Public Relations Officer provided assurance that a thorough investigation would be conducted to ensure the safety of future operations. The derailment caused a temporary disruption, but no major damage or injuries were reported, thanks to the low speed of the train at the time of the incident. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of ongoing maintenance and safety checks to prevent such occurrences in the future.
