Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his first visit to the Kashmir Valley since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, declared that Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing unprecedented development. Addressing a public meeting at Bakshi Stadium, he accused the Congress of misleading the nation about Article 370 and emphasized the positive transformation in the region.
In Srinagar for the ‘Vikshat Bharat, Vikshit Jammu Kashmir’ program, PM Modi inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 6,400 crore. Expressing optimism, he stated, “Jammu and Kashmir is touching new heights of development today because it is breathing freely.” He extended greetings for the upcoming holy month of Ramzan and Mahashivratri.
The Prime Minister landed at the airport and proceeded to Badamibagh Cantonment, where he paid tribute to martyred soldiers at the war memorial. Mr. Modi’s visit marks a significant milestone in the region’s progress, symbolized by the flourishing development initiatives and a promising future.
