In a fervent address preceding the commencement of the last parliamentary session prior to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the nation’s unprecedented progress under his leadership. He sternly rebuked disruptive parliamentarians, urging introspection, stating, “No one remembers those who make noise.”

Modi assured the nation that the journey of development would persist with the blessings of the people. Breaking from tradition, he announced his intent to present the full budget for the country post the formation of the new government, defying the customary restraint before elections.

Addressing reporters at the onset of the budget session, Modi directed his remarks at parliamentarians known for creating disruptions and flouting democratic values. He characterized the session as an opportunity for repentance for those who habitually cause commotion. Accusing the opposition of obstructing parliamentary proceedings, he challenged such members to inquire within their constituencies, asserting that their actions would be easily forgotten.

“The budget session is also an opportunity for repentance,” Modi declared. He highlighted the importance of parliamentary contributions, emphasizing that those who benefit the House with valuable ideas are the ones remembered by the public. The Prime Minister underscored the significance of constructive participation, contrasting it with the fleeting attention given to those who create disturbances.

Modi disclosed that President Draupadi Murmu would address a joint meeting of parliamentarians, while Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman would present the budget on Thursday. Notably, he described the occasion as a “festival of women empowerment,” recognizing the pivotal roles played by women leaders in steering the nation’s economic policies.

As the nation braces for the parliamentary sessions and the unveiling of the budget, the Prime Minister’s call for introspection and constructive engagement resonates. The political landscape awaits the outcomes of this session, with eyes on the leaders who contribute meaningfully to the democratic process and the welfare of the nation.
