In a spirited address during the debate on the vote of thanks in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected on his government’s decade-long tenure, emphasizing the numerous significant decisions made. He boldly declared his commitment to propelling the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ campaign to new heights over the next five years.
Asserting a bold stance ahead of the upcoming elections, the Prime Minister conveyed that the nation would place its trust in leaders who carry a ‘guarantee,’ dismissing those whose ‘warranty’ had expired. He took a dig at the opposition, particularly the Congress, labeling it as ‘old’ and criticized its stance on reservations, expressing concern over its decline. Modi expressed a hopeful yet challenging sentiment, “praying” that the Congress would secure only 40 seats in the next general elections.
During his address, the Prime Minister turned his attention to former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, dubbing him the ‘Prince of Congress.’ Modi characterized Gandhi as a ‘non-starter,’ emphasizing his perceived lack of upward trajectory in the political arena.
The political landscape seems charged with anticipation as Modi pledges to steer the country towards self-reliance while taking a firm stand against what he sees as outdated opposition narratives. The upcoming elections are poised to be a battleground where trust and guarantees take center stage, marking a crucial juncture for the nation’s political future.
