As preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections gain momentum nationwide, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring addressed reporters, emphasizing the meticulous selection process of Congress candidates, whose names will be revealed imminently.

Waring expressed confidence in the Congress party’s strategy, asserting that the Akali Dal faces an uphill battle to salvage its reputation. Criticizing the Akali Dal’s tenure, Waring highlighted incidents of blasphemy and suggested that these missteps would hinder their political resurgence.

Further, Waring condemned the Akali Dal’s alleged interference in the affairs of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, alleging a hidden political agenda. He also accused the BJP of misusing governmental agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax Department for personal gain, leading to voter disillusionment.

In light of these observations, Waring suggested that the electorate is increasingly discerning the true nature of BJP governance, predicting a decline in their electoral fortunes. As the political landscape heats up, Punjab braces for a fiercely contested Lok Sabha election, with the Congress party poised to stake its claim on the electoral battleground.
