Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the Punjab Congress president and Ludhiana parliamentary constituency candidate, emphasized the party’s commitment to unity and substantial promises rather than divisive tactics and empty rhetoric. Addressing the public during his campaign, Warring assured the implementation of a ‘pehli naukri pakki’ scheme, guaranteeing employment for fresh graduates and diploma holders with a one-year apprenticeship and a guaranteed income of Rs 1 lakh.
Highlighting the alarming unemployment figures in the country, Warring stressed the urgent need for concrete solutions, pointing out that the current unemployment rate is the highest in the past 45 years. He underlined the dire situation in Punjab, where numerous youth are compelled to migrate abroad after selling off their assets due to lack of opportunities.
In a swipe at the BJP leadership, Warring reminded them of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unfulfilled promise of creating two crore jobs annually, leaving the nation far from achieving the envisioned employment targets. As the election fervor intensifies, Warring’s pledge of tangible action against the backdrop of escalating unemployment resonates strongly with the electorate.
