Arvind Kejriwal, National Convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister, alongside Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, initiated their election campaign from Haryana’s Lok Sabha constituency Kurukshetra. Under the rallying cry ‘Badlange Kurukshetra, Badlange Haryana, Ibke India ko Jitana,’ the leaders addressed the crowd, emphasizing the need for transformative change.
Kejriwal criticized traditional parties, accusing them of decades of corruption, and the BJP of recent oppressive tactics. He highlighted the struggles of farmers, citing restrictions imposed by the Haryana government and the tragic incident of a young farmer losing his life during protests.
Bhagwant Mann drew parallels to the historic religious war in Kurukshetra, envisioning the beginning of positive change in Haryana. Both leaders spoke of AAP’s success in delivering quality education and healthcare in Delhi and Punjab, expressing the people’s increasing preference for government schools and hospitals.
With Dr. Sushil Gupta as the India Alliance’s Lok Sabha candidate, the AAP leaders promised improved health facilities and an enhanced education system for Haryana residents, urging voters to usher in a new era of progress.
