Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized that cyber security is a vital component of national security, asserting that the country’s progress is closely tied to its ability to protect against cyber threats. Speaking at the foundation day ceremony of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C), Shah highlighted the borderless nature of cybercrime, stressing the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to effectively combat this issue.
Shah stated, “Cyber security is an integral part of national security. We must ensure cyber security because the progress of the country is not possible without it.” He underlined the government’s commitment to enhancing cyber defense capabilities, revealing plans to train and deploy 5,000 cyber commandos over the next five years to address the growing challenge of cybercrime in India.
The Home Minister’s remarks underscore the critical role of cyber security in safeguarding national interests and ensuring sustainable development. The government’s proactive approach aims to equip the nation with the necessary tools and expertise to combat evolving cyber threats and secure the digital future of India.
