Manipur Minister Kashim Vashum’s house in Ukhrul district was attacked by miscreants with a grenade on Saturday night, causing significant damage to the building. According to a senior police officer, no one was injured in the attack as no one was present in the house at the time.
The explosion caused damage to parts of the house, including the walls. Vashum, who is a Naga MLA from the People’s Front, expressed relief that there were no casualties or injuries.
Officials have started investigating the attack, and CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed to identify the attackers. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security in the region, but authorities are working to ensure that such incidents are addressed promptly.
