The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting daily interrogations of Tahawwur Rana, one of the key accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. According to official sources, the agency is questioning Rana for 8 to 10 hours each day to uncover deeper details and the broader conspiracy behind the deadly 2008 attacks.

Sources revealed that the investigation aims to trace the roots of the planning that led to the attacks, which were carried out by Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. The 26/11 attacks left 166 people dead and over 238 injured, making it one of the most horrific terror incidents in Indian history.

The NIA is following all legal protocols during the investigation. Rana is being provided with regular medical check-ups and has been granted permission to meet his lawyer, in line with the directions of the Delhi court. Last Friday, a special NIA court sent Rana to 18-day custody, giving the agency a significant window to dig deeper into the case.

Officials said that the questioning sessions are intense and cover various aspects, including Rana’s connections with the accused in the case, communication links, and his role in facilitating the attackers. The agency believes that Rana’s testimony could help unravel the larger international network involved in planning and supporting the 26/11 attacks.

The NIA’s focus is to gather enough evidence to strengthen India’s case against those who masterminded the attack from across the border. The investigation is expected to bring out more crucial information in the coming days as the questioning continues.

The Indian government remains firm on its commitment to bring all perpetrators of the 26/11 attacks to justice, and the interrogation of Tahawwur Rana is seen as a critical step in that direction.
