Panic gripped Sector-10 in Chandigarh this evening after three unidentified individuals hurled a hand grenade at a house from an auto rickshaw. Fortunately, there was no loss of life. The explosion was so violent that it shattered the windows of the house. According to sources, three suspects were involved in the incident. One of them threw the grenade while the other two remained in the auto rickshaw.
Following the attack, senior police officials, including Chandigarh DIG and SSP, rushed to the scene to assess the situation. The fire brigade and teams from the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) also arrived at the spot. The police have begun checking CCTV footage to identify the suspects. Police sources mentioned that the bomb disposal squad has been called in to collect samples and further investigate the blast. The entire area is under heavy police surveillance as the investigation continues.
