Sandeep Dhand Ludhiana,
During a roadshow organized by West Constituency MLA Daljit Singh Grewal on Tibba Road in support of Lok Sabha candidate Ashok Parashar Pappi, Punjab Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann made a significant announcement. Mann declared that women in the state will soon begin receiving a monthly financial aid of 1,000 rupees. The scheme is backed by savings of approximately 5,200 crore rupees from the state budget. Mann assured that this financial support for women will commence within the next 5 to 7 months and once implemented, it will be a permanent fixture.
Addressing a large gathering, Mann emphasized the importance of Ludhiana, describing it as the “heart of Punjab.” He highlighted the necessity of revitalizing Ludhiana’s economy for the overall health of the state. Mann committed to strengthening Ludhiana’s position in business and trade, aiming to attract traders from other states. Known as the “Manchester of Punjab,” Ludhiana will receive focused efforts to bolster its commercial sector.
Mann also touched on the recent holidays for schoolchildren, encouraging parents to motivate their children to balance outdoor activities with studies during the summer break. He urged the public to support the AAP by voting for the broom symbol in the upcoming elections.
In his speech, Mann criticized BJP candidate Ravneet Bittu, suggesting that Bittu has not fully embraced his new party. Mann remarked that some individuals still consider Bittu a Congressman, indicating a lack of complete transition to the BJP.
The announcement of the financial aid scheme has been received positively, especially among women, who see it as a substantial step towards economic empowerment. As the state gears up for elections, AAP’s focus on welfare schemes and economic revitalization forms a crucial part of their campaign strategy. The public’s response in Ludhiana will be pivotal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the AAP banking on their progressive policies to secure votes.
