Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar strongly emphasized the importance of nationalism, warning that any compromise on this front is a “betrayal of the nation.” Speaking at the inauguration of the Uttar Pradesh Sainik School in Gorakhpur, Dhankhar asserted that questioning the nation’s integrity will not be tolerated, reflecting the country’s firm stance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Highlighting India’s progress, Dhankhar noted that the nation now boasts foreign exchange reserves of $600 billion, a significant leap from the days when India had to pledge its gold reserves to overcome a financial crisis. He credited Uttar Pradesh for its valuable contribution to India’s growing global identity.

The Vice President also cautioned against drawing parallels between India and its neighboring countries, emphasizing the strength of Indian democracy. He urged that those compromising nationalism need to be corrected, warning of “spiritual revenge” from the people if such attitudes persist.

The Sainik School, spread over 49 acres and built at a cost of Rs 176 crore, is a symbol of India’s commitment to preparing future leaders. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the event, underlining the state’s role in national development.
