Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in France today for a three-day visit. He received a warm welcome upon arrival. During his stay, he will co-chair the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit and hold bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
PM Modi said he was visiting France at the invitation of President Macron. He will co-chair the AI Action Summit, where world leaders and CEOs of major technology companies will participate. Discussions will focus on the role of AI in global development and security.
Apart from the summit, Modi and Macron will review the progress of the 2047 roadmap for the India-France strategic partnership. They will visit Marseille, where they will inaugurate the first Indian consulate in France and also tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project.
PM Modi and President Macron will visit the Majorgues War Cemetery to pay tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Modi emphasized that these brave soldiers played an important role in history, and their sacrifice should always be remembered.
After completing his visit to France, PM Modi will leave for the United States on a two-day visit. He will meet President Donald Trump, marking their first meeting since Trump became President for the second time.
Before leaving India, Modi said this visit would strengthen India-US relations. Key areas of discussion will include technology, trade, defence, and energy. Modi said he looks forward to working with the US to benefit both nations and create a better future for the world.
“I look forward to meeting my friend President Trump,” Modi said.
