A total of 112 Indian citizens have been deported from the United States and have safely returned to India. Amritsar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sahni confirmed their arrival and assured that all of them are in good health.

According to DC Sahni, the immigration process for the returnees is currently underway. Following this, medical checkups and other necessary formalities will be completed. Among those deported, some children were also present, and they have been provided with essential supplies and care.

The administration has made travel arrangements to help the returnees reach their respective states. Citizens from Punjab and Haryana will be sent to Delhi by road, while those from other states will be flown on special flights before proceeding to their hometowns.

However, DC Sahni did not clarify whether the deported individuals were handcuffed during their return journey. This detail remains uncertain as there has been no official statement regarding the matter.

The deportation of Indian citizens from the US is part of ongoing immigration enforcement actions. Many individuals attempt to enter the US through irregular routes, often facing legal challenges. Authorities have urged citizens to follow legal procedures for immigration to avoid such situations.

For now, officials are ensuring that the deported individuals receive the necessary support before they reunite with their families. Further details on their legal status and future plans will emerge as the immigration process is completed.
