Sai Sudharsan played a brilliant knock of 82 runs to help Gujarat Titans secure a 58-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in today’s IPL match. Batting first, Gujarat posted a strong total of 217 runs for the loss of six wickets, thanks to Sudharsan’s fine innings. He faced 53 balls and smashed eight fours and three sixes. This was Sudharsan’s third half-century of the season.
Other key contributors with the bat for Gujarat included Jos Buttler and Shahrukh Khan, who scored 36 runs each. Captain Shubman Gill, however, could only manage 2 runs. Rahul Tewatia remained unbeaten on 24 runs, giving the team a strong finish.
In reply, Rajasthan Royals struggled to chase the 218-run target. They were bowled out for 159 runs. The top scorer for Rajasthan was Shimron Hetmyer, who scored 52 runs. Skipper Sanju Samson added 41, while Riyan Parag chipped in with 26 runs. No other batter from the Rajasthan team could reach double figures, leading to a disappointing end to their innings.
Gujarat bowlers performed impressively. Prasidh Krishna took three wickets, while Rashid Khan and R. Sai Kishore picked up two each. Mohammad Siraj, Arshad Khan, and Kulwant Khejroliya claimed one wicket apiece.
For Rajasthan, Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana took two wickets each, while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma picked up one wicket each.
