Floods have caused severe damage in 12 districts of Punjab. Continuous heavy rainfall has worsened the situation, forcing many people to leave their homes and take shelter in relief camps. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is personally visiting the flood-affected areas to assess the situation. Today, he will visit the affected areas of Firozepur.
During his visit, the Chief Minister will meet people staying in relief camps and listen to their problems. These camps primarily host residents from border villages who were forced to evacuate due to rising water levels. After visiting Firozepur, he will also tour JCPI Husainiwala to review the condition of the affected areas.
In addition to visiting the sites, Chief Minister Mann is closely monitoring flood management efforts. He will conduct a high-level video conference from Amritsar today to discuss flood management with cabinet ministers and senior officials. During the meeting, the ongoing relief work across the state will be reviewed, and further necessary steps will be planned to ensure proper support and safety for the affected residents.
