Punjab has been facing heavy rainfall for the last three days, along with continuous downpour in the hilly areas. This has caused massive flooding across the state. Almost every district of Punjab is now under the grip of floods, which has created serious challenges for the state government.
To review the situation, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will visit Sangrur today. During his visit, he will go to Makroor Sahib and other flood-affected regions to meet the people directly. The Chief Minister will also inspect two bridges built on the Ghaggar River and take stock of the ongoing relief operations.
According to reports, all 23 districts of Punjab have been badly hit by the floods. More than 1,400 villages are affected, with thousands of families struggling for safety, shelter, and daily needs. Relief work is being carried out, but the continuous rainfall is making the situation worse.
At present, there is no sign of relief as rain continues across Punjab. Instead, the condition is becoming more critical with each passing day. The government has urged people to remain alert and has assured that all possible help will be provided to those affected.
