Speaking at an event organized by the industry body FICCI, Goyal highlighted India’s growing global trade partnerships. “We are actively negotiating trade agreements with the US and New Zealand,” he said. The minister added that such agreements will help boost exports, create new opportunities for businesses, and strengthen India’s economic ties with major partners.

Goyal pointed out that India has already signed trade agreements with Mauritius, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Australia. He further mentioned that the “second phase” of the trade deal with Australia is expected to be finalized soon.

The minister emphasized that these negotiations are part of India’s broader strategy to integrate with global supply chains and expand its role in international trade. With multiple trade talks underway, India is aiming to enhance its competitiveness and provide a stronger platform for industries to access global markets.
