A tragic accident took place in Ludhiana late Sunday night, where a high-speed car hit a divider and overturned, killing five people on the spot. The crash was so serious that some victims received severe head and neck injuries. Around 1 AM, two ambulances brought the bodies to the Civil Hospital. The deceased include two minor girls and three young men, but their identities have not been confirmed yet. The accident happened near the Ladowal Toll Plaza.
According to reports, the Hyundai Verna car was travelling from South City towards Ladowal. Due to high speed, the driver lost control, and the car hit a divider, flipped over, and was dragged for a long distance. The bodies were badly damaged, with one victim losing an arm and another losing a leg due to the impact.
After receiving information, ASI Kashmir Singh from Ladowal Police Station reached the spot and informed the NHAI ambulance team. The ambulance arrived quickly, and the bodies were removed from the car and taken to the Civil Hospital. Police said they are trying to contact the families of the victims. The exact cause of the accident is being investigated.
