Punjabi University Gives Final Chance to Clear EVS and Drug Abuse Papers

Punjabi University has announced a special opportunity for students who have completed their degree coursework by 2025 but have not yet received their degrees due to failing the qualifying papers in Drug Abuse and Environmental Studies (EVS).

According to the official notice issued by the Controller of Examinations, the Vice-Chancellor has approved this one-time chance to help students finalize their degrees. The university has clarified different procedures for regular and private students.

Regular Students: The exams for regular and re-appear students will be conducted at the level of their respective colleges or departments. The university will provide the roll numbers, but no separate date sheet will be issued.

Private and Distance Education Students: For these students, the university will issue both roll numbers and a date sheet. The examination center has been fixed at Government Mohindra College, Patiala (Center-707).

Fee and Deadlines: The university has set a lump-sum fee of 5,000 (including a 120 examination form fee). If a student needs to appear for both subjects, they must fill out separate forms and pay separate fees for each.

The deadline to submit the examination forms is January 20, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this date. Students are advised to complete the formalities immediately to avoid further delays in receiving their degrees.
