The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made significant strides in Punjab as it gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In a bold move, AAP has decided to field five cabinet ministers from Punjab as candidates for eight seats in the state.
The list of candidates released by AAP includes Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal for the Amritsar constituency, Laljit Singh Bhullar for Khadur Sahib, Sushil Kumar Rinku for Jalandhar, Gurpreet Singh GP for Fatehgarh Sahib, Karamjit Anmol for Faridkot, Gurmeet Singh Khudian for Bathinda, Gurmeet Singh for Sangrur, and Balbir Singh for Patiala.
This strategic move underscores AAP’s commitment to leveraging experienced leaders who have already made significant contributions to Punjab’s governance. By fielding sitting cabinet ministers, AAP aims to consolidate its position and appeal to voters seeking a fresh and accountable approach to governance.
As the Lok Sabha elections draw near, AAP’s candidate lineup reflects the party’s determination to challenge established political norms and offer a viable alternative to the electorate. With seasoned leaders at the helm, AAP is poised to make a strong showing in Punjab and potentially reshape the political landscape of the state.
