The AAP government in Punjab appears to have resolved its internal conflicts following a second meeting between Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan. The meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s residence, was also attended by Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh.
Previously, the two leaders met at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha complex to address ongoing political unrest. In today’s meeting, both Mann and Sandhawan indicated that all issues within the party have been settled.
This development comes amid a broader crisis within the Aam Aadmi Party, with national leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia currently in jail. Sources reported a positive atmosphere during the meeting, marking Sandhawan’s first visit to the Chief Minister’s residence in a long time.
Rumors had suggested that Sandhawan was seeking political advancement in Delhi following the party’s defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. However, Sanjay Singh has been mediating to resolve differences among party leaders.
After today’s discussions, sources confirmed that all grievances were addressed. Sandhawan affirmed that there are no longer any internal party conflicts.
In related news, Chief Minister Mann is meeting daily with MLAs and ministers to discuss constituency issues and strategies for upcoming by-elections. Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal noted that numerous MLAs have met with Mann in recent days.
