In a heartfelt statement, Arvind Kejriwal announced his surrender at Tihar Jail today after a 21-day break granted by the Supreme Court for election campaigning. Expressing his gratitude towards the Supreme Court, Kejriwal outlined his plans for the day before his return to jail.
Kejriwal will leave his residence at 3 pm, first visiting Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Following this, he will seek blessings at the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place. Before heading to Tihar, he will stop by the party office to meet with workers and leaders, underscoring his commitment to the party and its supporters.
In his address, Kejriwal urged his supporters to take care of themselves, assuring them of his concern even while incarcerated. “If you are happy, then your Kejriwal will also be happy in jail,” he stated, emphasizing his connection with the public.
Kejriwal’s return to Tihar marks a significant moment as he resumes serving his sentence. His brief period out of jail was utilized for intense campaigning, reflecting his dedication to his political duties and his followers.
