In a groundbreaking move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has initiated the ‘Sarkar De Aap Door Campaign’ across seven sub-divisions of Ludhiana district, starting from February 6. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni announced the launch of daily grievance redressal camps, a novel approach aimed at resolving citizens’ concerns by visiting their homes, bypassing traditional government offices.
Under this innovative initiative, relief camps will be established in every village and municipal ward within the district. The primary focus is on addressing problems on the spot and ensuring swift service delivery. Deputy Commissioner Sahni emphasized the objective of these camps, stating that the intent is to actively listen to the issues faced by common people in their homes and resolve them promptly. Nodal officers and dedicated teams have been appointed to ensure the efficient resolution of every complaint, aiming for maximum satisfaction.
Sahni stressed the significance of people’s participation in the administration process, highlighting that it enhances the responsiveness and transparency of services. The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, remains dedicated to reaching out to the people and providing assistance. Although weekly camps are already organized under the ‘Sarkar Apahe Dwar’ scheme, these special daily grievance redressal camps will cover all villages and municipal wards in Ludhiana district.
A comprehensive roadmap has been prepared, detailing the locations, dates, and times of the camps across constituencies. Public announcements are actively promoting these camps to ensure maximum outreach. The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ojaswi Alankar, Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Paramdeep Singh, Group S. D. M.S., and heads of relevant government departments, reflecting a unified effort to address citizens’ concerns effectively.
